How does LDM®-MED compare to other ultrasound machines? In contrast to other ultrasound machines, the LDM®-MED uses a 10 MHz frequency with a depth of just approximately 0.3cm which acts almost exclusively in the upper skin layers such as the epidermis and dermis, while the 3 MHz and 1 MHz frequencies of depths of approximately 1cm and 3cm respectively operate in the deeper layers of the skin. It can also achieve a much higher intensity than conventional aesthetic-medical ultrasound treatments, thanks to its ability to switch between frequencies.

What does the treatment entail? After consultation with the physician, a clinic assistant will assist the patient to clean the area to be treated. The patient will then be asked to take his or her “before” photos. Where necessary, the physician would proceed to mark the area to be treated. A layer of ultrasound gel will be applied to the treatment area before treatment begin. The Physician will select the appropriate program and prob for the treatment area.
-
How many sessions are needed, and how long will the results last?"Improvement of the skin appearance can often be seen immediately after the first session. The number of sessions required to produce optimal results, and the longevity of the results will depend on factors such as patient’s lifestyle habits, age, skin condition and the type of treatment that the patient underwent. Treatments targeting aesthetic indications are recommended twice per week, for 4 to 6 weeks. Once optimal results have been achieved, maintenance sessions are recommended once every two to three months. Dermatological conditions such as psoriasis an eczema may need up to 6 to 8 treatments and in more complex cases, 10 to 16 sessions, depending on the condition.
-
Is the treatment painful? Is there any downtime?Patients rarely feel discomfort and the treatment can be performed without local anesthesia. At most, patients will only feel a warm sensation.
-
Can LDM®-MED be used in combination with other treatment modalities?LDM®-MED treatments can be combined with non and minimally-invasive medical aesthetics treatments such as radio frequency treatments, thread lifts, and filler injections, as well as surgical procedures such as liposuction. When applied before an injectable or after a laser treatment, it reduces downtime by reducing inflammation, facilitating the healing process and increasing skin immunity, and the amount of hyaluronic acid in the cell to increase skin moisture and hydration. Patients can see improvements after only one to two sessions. It's a great treatment by itself, but it's an even better complimentary treatment to other treatments like HIFU and Rejuran.
-
Are there any contraindications? The LDM®-MED device must not be used on any area of the body if you: Have malignant tumours (or suspect that the tumour is malignant) Have a cardiac pacemaker Are pregnant or breastfeeding The following body regions must also not be directly treated with ultrasound: Eyes (bulbus oculi) Gonads Heart Brain Spinal Cord Juvenile bone growth zones Abdominal area during pregnancy Areas with severely impaired perfusion Bacterial skin infections (e.g. erysipelas, tuberculosis) Thrombosis

Who is the LDM Triple 19 good for?LDM Triple, or also known as LDM Triple 19, is good for people who have wrinkly and dry skin, loss of elasticity, chronic inflammatory skin and very sensitive skin. People who want to maintain a youthful look without pain and sensitivity will also find LDM Triple ideal for them.
-
What effect do you see after receiving the procedure? After one treatment, you can expect to see enhanced moisture, improved skin tone and increased skin elasticity. Some may even feel the effect of reduced inflammation. If you are a current user of LDM-MED, expect better results with LDM Triple 19.
-
How long is LDM Triple 19 procedure and downtime?A treatment procedure typically takes around 10-30 minutes but may vary depending on the indication. Since there is no pain, redness or swelling after the procedure, you can expect to resume your daily activities immediately.
-
What is the difference between LDM Triple 19 and LDM-MED?From the first treatment alone, improvement of skin appearance by reduction of skin pores and smoothening of the skin (reducing elevated bumps) can often be observed. Such effects have already been successfully demonstrated in a multicenter study. Combining LDM Triple new parameters and a higher frequency, you can expect a Higher Efficacy treatment - meaning better & faster results in comparison to LDM-MED. With the 19 MHz frequency, even more superficial work is possible, especially in the dermis and the border of the dermis/subcutis.
